Week 16: Butterfly Dragons

My 2015 polymer clay challenge was to create one dragon & one new Parker a week. You can read my personal challenge here. Each participant is encouraged to challenge themselves to something they want to do. Let’s see what this week brought me…

Don’t forget to add the tag #2015PCChallenge to all your social media & blog posts.

Meet Glowfly:

Polymer Clay Dragon, Glowfly made by Katie Oskin of KatersAcres| Week 16 for #2015PCChallenge by KatersAcres | Handmade collectible dragonsGlowfly is a special dragon that hatches in the earliest parts of Spring when the daffodils begin to bloom. He is a butterfly dragon, being named after the Blue Glowfly butterfly species. Though his wings are lovely to see and view, Glowfly can indeed not fly. His gorgeous wings are far to delicate. If you look closely though, you can see him flitting flower to flower through the fields at Kater’s Acres.

Meet Wingy:

Polymer Clay Dragon, Wingy made by Katie Oskin of KatersAcres| Week 16 for #2015PCChallenge by KatersAcres | Handmade collectible dragonsWingy, like his brother Glowfly, is a special dragon that hatches in the earliest parts of Spring when the daffodils begin to bloom. He is a butterfly dragon, being named after the set of double wings on his back. One set is full and resembled butterfly, but his newest set of wings to open are still furled from the cocoon.Though his wings are lovely to see and view, Wingy can indeed not fly. His gorgeous wings are far to delicate … and besides, he’s far too itchy! Ever since he came out of his cocoon, his right ear has been terribly itchy, see how he keeps scratching it?
