Cystic Fibrosis Themed Parker Characters
Posted on November 25, 2013 in Parker by Katie Oskin
As many of you know, I have a disease called Cystic Fibrosis (CF). I am very healthy for my age and a positive outlook and my belief in Jesus Christ keeps me going day after day (in addition to a husband who is the greatest man on Earth). If you don’t know what CF is, you can visit the foundation website, but basically it’s an inherited chronic disease that affects the lungs and digestive system. Few people with CF live into late adulthood. The median age of survival is the early 40’s but with technology and medical breakthroughs this median age continues to rise.
CF and Faith
In 2014 I will begin to blog about my journey with CF and how it affects my faith and my outlook on another website CFandFaith.com. For this reason, Parker is lending his hand to grant a smile to those who fight this deadly disease every day of their life. In their honor (and mine), Parker will lend his likeness to help those who suffer with CF.
Parker is a symbol of hope and joy. Upon seeing Parker, your loved one with CF will smile. Parker is a symbol of hope and love. He will help your loved one fight their battle with CF by providing them a little bit of joy & laughter that might be missing in their life. Each Parker sculpture has a unique and genuine expression and holds a purple ribbon (the CF awareness ribbon color) with a rose center (for 65 Roses®).
