Boho Fall Festival Polymer Clay Necklace by KatersAcres

Only One?!

For those of you who have been following my WIP Wednesday series, you will recognize this week’s offering is sparse. And yes, I admit that it is. I was gone from Wednesday – Saturday, only to return to get one thing accomplished. But it’s a good thing, isn’t it?! This polymer clay necklace will be taught in an upcoming video with B’Sue Boutiques as well as a PDF tutorial for Parker’s Clayful Tutorial Club which can be purchased by non-Club member here on the site. The tutorial that will be taught is “Zero Scrap Fall Flourish” teaching you how to make everything from the blend, beads, & leaves.

Weekly Inspiration

Tiffany Style Millefiori Cane by Wendy Jorre de St JorreThis week I am inspired by Wendy Jorre de St Jorre who has made this absolutely stunning Tiffany Style scenic tree cane as part of her year long series of tree canes. Each cane every week has a style & pattern all of its own. It’s a joy to follow her Flickr steam and watch her work. Be sure to follow her here.

Weekly Tidbits and Fun

  • Birds of a Feather by Christi FriesenI spent a significant time away from home last week and while away I got a great deal of work done.
  • I got sculpted my first run of ornaments for the 2014 Christmas season … and I can’t wait to show them to you!
  • I picked up Christi Friesen’s new book, “Birds” from Hobby Lobby. It’s a rewrite of the original “Birds of a Feather” that went out of print a long time ago.

Want to be an artist of inspiration for the week?

Every week I choose 1-2 artists whose work has caught my eye during the week. How do you catch my eye? It’s simple … use social media. Here’s a few easy ways to catch my attention: become part of FaceBook groups I am also on, showcase your work on your FaceBook page, Twitter, Instagram, Flickr, Pinterest, or even tag me @KatersAcres in your photos on FaceBook.

What are you working on?
