Coffee Break with Katie: Semi-Homemade Recipes - Yummy Chicken

Semi-Homemade Recipes
YUMMY CHICKEN

One of my growth-points for this year was to make 1 new recipe a week for my hubby and I.  But this past week, I outdid myself.  I made two new recipes for us!

The recipe that I share today was a recipe that I had at my friends house.  I adapted it to our tastes and changed it slightly.  It is so good, it's literally yummy...which is why I named it Yummy Chicken.  By the way for those of you who are health conscious, you can swap out ingredients for a "lighter" on the calories meal...this version has about 750 calories per serving.

Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook time: 90 minutes

Ingredients:
  • Your choice of chicken (I used thighs with bones & skin)
  • 1 Can Cream of Chicken Soup
  • 1 Kraft Single for every piece of chicken
  • 1 large container French Friend Onions

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.  First thaw your chicken if you are using frozen.  Spray a large glass Pyrex dish with Pam cooking spray. Place chicken in bottom of dish.  Place 1 Kraft Single on top of every piece of chicken.  Spoon out cream of chicken soup on top, making sure to spread it as evenly as possible.  Top with 3/4 can of French Fried Onions.  Cover dish with foil.   Place on top rack of oven.  Cook for 90 minutes.  Remove dish from oven and remove foil.  Let stand approximately 5 minutes.

Side Dish Ideas:
Serve with cooked broccoli or rice.  Add chocolate moose for dessert.....

MMMMmmmm Good!

It's very good and very easy....but if you're health conscious Sandy, you'll want to get reduced fat soup, BAKED onion rings (or use real fresh onion), and remove the skin from your chicken.
