I’ve Been Published

Wow! I’m so humbled. Once again, my work was chosen to be published in print in the most recent March/April 2016 edition of Polymer Cafe Magazine. I’m blown away!

It’s very awe inspiring and humbling to see your own work in print. So, imagine my surprise when I received my magazine in the mail and saw a tiny little icon near the front … well that’s my piece I thought as I stared at the Table of Contents. Sure enough, right there in the center (insert all the “I’m a centerfold” jokes here you’d like … I did) of the magazine stared back my own work. My. Work. WOW!

I’d like to say a humble “thank you” to Polymer Cafe magazine for the recognition.

I was so blessed to have my piece “Plumb Outta Time” a tribute to my late Grandfather shown in print. There it was … a huge piece of my heart and perhaps one of my favorite pieces to date. You can read the back story to this piece here and learn how this piece not only captured my heart but a huge piece of my grandfather as well.

I was also blessed to have right alongside it, one of my newer pieces, “Father Time” included as well. This piece also holds a very special place in my heart as this piece was made for my Dad for Christmas this year.

Every year I give my parents art work to display in and around their home. They are big on collecting art from trips, artists, vacations, etc … so I like to give them handmade tokens. My Dad has been a long time steam engine enthusiast. This piece just spoke to me … “Father Time” has a true sense of the past, present, and future. The added steampunk components of gears, clock hands, and keys make it whimsical while the adde faux leather & glass flight goggles add an element of surprise. The picture to the left is “Father Time” out of his box … but I gifted him in a clock box that helped to complete the feel of the piece, shown at right.
