The Friesen Project of 2013 Recap

Last year in 2013 I spent a year working through the books of Christi Friesen with you, my beloved blog readers. Let’s take a quick walk through memory lane: 52 weeks, 10 giveaways, 48 tutorials from Christi’s books. In the beginning we made things pretty much like they were in the book … but together we worked with each other on finding our own “voice” while using Christi’s designs as a basis for our work. For those who participated, we had a great time!

The Polymer Arts Mention

Kater's Acres & Gus the Gargoyle mentioned in The Polymer Arts Spring 2014 IssueThis year Christi Friesen participated in a magazine article about finding your voice and issues of copyright in The Polymer Arts, Spring 2014 issue. (You can get the issue here direct from the Polymer Arts.) Christi mentioned The Friesen Project and Gus (shown above) was showcased in the issue.  Many thanks to Sage Bray for including me & Gus in the issue.

A Weekend with Christi

I’m mentioning this press release so late here on the blog because I’m spending my weekend with Christi Friesen! This weekend I’m attending a 2 day clay-athon in Canfield, Ohio and I even took time away from my church family to do it. This is a first for me and I’m very excited by the opportunity! In honor of it, next week, right here on the blog, will be “Christi Friesen Week” and I have some great Christi-themed things planned for us!
