WIP Wednesdays in Kater's Acres Polymer Clay Studio

Well, this past week has been a busy one in my home and I have been thoroughly creative … just not so much in my studio!

Work In Progress

This past week’s “work in progress” has included a lot of time in my kitchen, cleaning the house, and making hoards of Parker’s for this years Christmas gifts (not to mention for all the recent orders)! So this week’s work in progress has not been nearly as exciting as some of the past weeks. This being said … here’s a collage of what’s been going on.

What’s In Progress? Work is in Progress … Kind of …

In the collage above you will see oodles of fun things and some things that make you go “hmm.”

Polymer Clay Acorn Ornament Tutorial by KatersAcresTOP ROW:  The little seasonal tree above is not my Christmas tree. Even though it is hard to see in these pictures, that little tree is filled with adorable little acorn ornaments (don’t miss the free tutorial)  that I spent an entire day in my studio making for all our guests on Thanksgiving day. On one day, I was just waiting for my oven to “ding” and had a piece of white clay sitting on my worktable … so I whipped up a quick little snowflake. I’ll make an ornament out of him and hang it from my window. The Parker with that awesome black clay filled with multi-colored glitter is fantastic! In fact … I really like black sparkly clay, but the kind that I mix up myself, not the new “Twinkle” from Sculpey.

BOTTOM ROW: This is me … shopping! On Saturday I ran out of felt I needed for a project that had to be finished. So I got in my Escape and drove 1 hour to Pat Catan’s where I got all the felt I needed to finish my project. Surprisingly, there were very few people in the store. I figured that it would be packed with weekend shoppers and hang-arounds from Black Friday … but I was wrong! The picture of Parker pouncing on something is actually Parker sitting on the “blessing boxes” of cookies I made up for both my Dad and my Father-in-law on Thanksgiving day. And last but not least … a portion of Parker’s in process. I made oodles of him this week!
