Trina’s Clay Creations

Thank You, Trina

It is with sadness that I do this artist feature on Trina’s Clay Creations.  Why is this sad you might ask? Almost 2 years ago, Etsy created “Teams.” From the outset, I began an all polymer clay team, The PCETeam (Polymer Clay Enthisiasts) of Etsy.  I sought out inspiring artists of different clay disciplines to aid in the creation, growth, and promotion of our mutual love, polymer clay.  One of those people that I was blessed enough to meet was Trina Prenzi.  She has a natural sculpting ability with clay that is immediately noticeable. Her fine attention to detail and adorable whimsical creations is uncanny. It has been my honor to know her, work with her, & feature her today.

Trina has brought many things to the PCETeam over the past two years.  She was instrumental in helping to establish the “Stretch Yourself Challenge” series, and did weekly posts on her own blog as well as the team blog featuring polymer clay artists from all around Etsy.  Effective on August 1st, Trina will be stepping down from the team.  Truly, she will be missed.

This isn’t a traditional artist feature as I normally do on Fridays.  Why? Because I wanted to surprise Trina with this little thank you and gift.  Trina, if you read this, please know that I have enjoyed our friendship and the prayers you have lifted for me over the years. Your sheep will proudly have a featured spot in my new studio.

Without further ado, here are some of my favorite pieces from Trina.

Thank you for everything Trina.  You will be missed.

  1. Oh Katie, this was such a wonderful surprise to come home from work to. Thank you so much for this special feature, and for all of your kind words! It has been an honor being a team leader under you, and I am so happy that we have become friends over the years. I will miss being a team leader, but even though I am stepping down, I still plan to be a big part of the PCETeam. I look forward to participating in the challenges, joining in on the discussions, meeting, and getting to know, new members and seeing where the team will take all of us! Over time I have gotten to know many of our awesome team members and their wonderful polymer clay work! I am inspired by the creativity of each member of our team and enjoy seeing all the new clay creations! You are a wonderful Team Captain, a talented clay artist and a very special person Katie! I thank you!

Lisa, Thank you for your kind words!! You are going to be an amazing team leader!!! I am inspired by your clay work and your enthusiasm, and that enthusiasm definitely shines through to the team!!! Thank you again, for the feature of my work that you did on your blog last week. You do a great job with your blog, I enjoy visiting! Much good luck to you as you step into the leadership position on the PCETeam!!!

    1. You are welcome Trina! I truly have enjoyed working with you. Thank you for all you have done for the team & me.

  2. I adore Trina’s work, too! Her attention to detail is quite impressive. She is one of the first polymer clay artist’s I ‘found’ on etsy, and by keeping track of her activity, I discovered the PCETeam. I am honored to be following her in the leadership position on the team, but I am nervous about filling her shoes! She has done a great job!

Last week I featured her work on MY blog! Here is a link to that post:

I wish Trina nothing but the best!

    1. Thanks for stopping Lisa – You also have a very unique eye for detail and design. I am looking forward to having you on the team leadership as well. Thanks for sharing your post link!
