Introduction to Bead Making for Beginners

This fall is bringing something new to Kater’s Acres, classes! That’s right. We’ve been hired as the instructor for polymer clay beads, buttons, sculpting, and everything clay related.  I will also be offering private lessons and classes in Parker’s NEW studio beginning the second week in September.  Read the details below…

Handmade Polymer Clay Bead examples for Introduction to Bead Making Course by KatersAcresThe first class that I will be offering is a class strictly for beginners.  The class is for people who want to learn to make their own beads to use in their own jewelry creations.  This class will cover the following topics:

This beginner course covers:

  • Clay Basics – What it is & how to use it
  • Choosing Clay – Types & what kind to use when
  • Conditioning Clay – How to
  • Making round & disc beads – The basics
  • Basic blends – How to blend clays
  • Basic marbling techniques – How to marbled & when to stop

I have seen people making polymer clay bead. Mesmerizing! I am trully thinking about taking a class!
