Spring Pastels - Polymer Clay Color Palette by KatersAcres

This is a recent spring color palette, that is inspired by my floral spring mood. It was a very easy palette to make & to create. So below, you will find some super simple instructions to create a soft metallic pastel color palette of your own.

What You Need:

  • Spring Pastels - Polymer Clay Color Palette by KatersAcres5 Colors of your choice Polymer Clay
    • 1 Part of your colored clay
    • 15 parts pearl clay per 1 part colored clay

How to do it:

  • Take 1 part of your colored clay
  • Take 15 parts of your pearl clay
  • Mix together completely to form 1 new uniform color
  • To make your color brighter: add more colored clay
  • To make your color softer: add more pearl or white clay

I hope today’s palette & color selections help you get back into your studio.

  1. Next to the Pearl clay; what colors (and brands) of clay did you use. They are PERFECT for my next Spring project!

    Thanks
    KAT

    1. Hi Kat. I likely used whatever was in my clay box at the time. There are all PREMO! by Sculpey colors, but I’d hate to say for sure as this was 5 years ago. For sure there is Orange and Cadmium Yellow. The others I am unsure as they may have started as a blend. You can make your own Spring palette using whatever colors you wish using the formula presented in the post.

  2. Just love these colors! Is it the pearl clay that gives it the glitter effect? and if so where can I purchase this type?
    Thanks for any help

    1. Hi Wendy,

Yes, it is the pearl clay that gives it the “glitter” effect. Pearl clay has mica powder in it, which gives it that glowing look. You can get pearl clay with all the other polymer clays at your local craft store. I recommend Premo! by Sculpey brand.
