Halloween Color Palette
Today’s color palette is destined for your Halloween creations. Can you use it for something else? Absolutely! The possibilities that form from one color palette are indeed limitless. Today I will give you all the Premo / Sculpey colors as well as a color palette that was auto-generated from the picture you see above at BigHugeLabs.com
Premo Color Palette
Here are swatches from the 2013 Premo color palette. In my studio, I use Premo 90% of the time. It is my clay of choice. You can see the colors of clay that are current at Sculpey.com. In the palette shown above I have used the following colors as “base” colors. To many of the colors I have added pearl, glitter, or other clay colors to brighten by blends. I rarely use clay straight from the package, but that doesn’t mean you can’t!
For the palette above, use these base colors:
- Premo! Black
- Premo! Orange
- Premo! Green
- Premo! Purple
- Sculpey III Glow in the Dark
- Get these colors in the sampler pack as well.
Digital Color Palette
As I have done in the past, I have put my palette through a series of color generators. The generated color palette that I like the best is the one at right from BigHugeLabs. Not only does this color palette carry the colors that I used, but also some of the shadows & highlights that the camera picked up … perhaps even some of those pearl flecked colors. Yay!
Make Something Spooktacular
So what are you going to make? It doesn’t matter! What’s the point of these color palette and creative challenges on my blog? To get you 1) Into your studios creating and 2) To get you to think outside the box. As artists, each of us tend to gravitate to a particular color or color palette that is “pleasing” to us. But maybe there’s a color in here that you don’t normally use, experiment and test your creativity.
What Will You Create?
I hope today’s palette & color selections help you get back into your studio this weekend! Thanks for joining me today and don’t forget to sign up for more tutorials, prompts, and projects direct to your email.
