Polymer Clay Tutorial of the Month:
Faux Batik Technique
by Lorraine Vogel
It’s the first Tuesday of the month and you know what that means?! It means that I introduce you to our polymer clay tutorial of the month! [Click here to see past tutorials of the month.] This month I bring none other than the wonderful talented Lorraine Vogel from Wired Orchid Jewelry.
Today I bring you someone you may not be familiar with. Lorraine Vogel is a wonderful, kind hearted, warm spirited person with whom I was happy to become acquainted with this past month. Lorraine makes her home in South Florida which perfectly compliments her cool toned beachy designs. Lorraine has a fabulous tutorial that is good for all kinds of applications from jewelry, covering, and beads too! As our “Polymer Clay Tutorial of the Month” writer, let me introduce you for a moment to Lorraine’s unique tutorial for “Batik Technique.”
Polymer Clay Tutorial of the Month
Lorraine has only one tutorial available right now, “Batik Technique” but don’t let that scare you! This tutorial is absolutely fabulous. It is a truly interactive tutorial that will show you the simple steps that Lorraine uses to prepare and make her Batik themed beading components. This tutorial is easy for even a beginner to do, although you made need a few additional supplies. I truly had a good time playing with this tutorial and will use it many times in the future. I highly recommend this tutorial to anyone who loves to cover objects with clay, make beads, or is into polymer clay collage.
