Nothing beats a tried and true classic, a handmade face vase from KatersAcres. I’ve been making these for years and taught this project all over the US, in guilds, many times locally, and for the Curious Mondo Polymer Clay Symposium in 2021. You can adopt your own face vase, with its own personality from me!
How BOTOX BETTY Was Made:
Botox Betty was made with our Luminescent Skin Recipe with Granite clay added to help showcase the ‘plastic surgery gone bad’ look. Her armature is a 3″ tall aluminum can for strength and support. Betty is also made with a custom and coordinating color palette with purple and rose-colored flowers with blue-teal centers. She has mica accents in Carousel, Bubble Blue, Oink, & Brick. She is further accented with soft pastels and hand-mixed acrylic paints.
Each Schrume© Face Vase has been lovingly handcrafted just for you. We begin by taking an ordinary vessel and preparing it for the clay. Then we begin the creation of the face vase. Each one has a different face, personality, and characteristics. We then begin to add different facial characteristics to all of our face vases, different details to our pots and expression, and some even have glass eyes. Once that is done we bake the clay twice to ensure toughness so that even if you decide to put a plant in your Face Vase, you’ll be ensured that your Face Vase will last for a long time to come. These Face Vases are made from aluminum cans and lined with a variety of materials. The materials are removable if you should choose to use this as a planter. Please know that if you drop this Face Vase, the clay may still break. We finish our planters with painted details, mixed media accents, and a coat of varnish on the lips for that “just been kissed” look.

Who are The ‘Schrumes©?
Parker© lives in KatersAcres, a land inhabited by all sorts of strange and unique animals, critters, and beings including dragons and The ‘Schrumes. The ‘Schrumes© are small troll like creatures that are found living in deep and dark places of the forest floor. They only come out at night, but are a joy to all who see them!
The ‘Schrumes© are a handmade polymer clay sculpted collectible character family. We have created each of these by hand. Every one is one-of-a-kind (OOAK), hand sculpted, and uniquely made. We do not use molds or forms. Therefore, you can be assured that the one you receive will be unique. Each ‘Schrume© is approximately two-and-a-quarter inches tall (each varies slightly). Every item is made to a different size, shape, and contains slightly different details and subtle facial expressions. As with all of our items, the artist’s signature appears on the bottom of the piece.
