This one takes a bit of practice, but he is worth it! Great tutorial with clear instructions and pictures. I love the Christi/Katie combo in this piece, too.

This was my first attempt at sculpting with polymer clay, and I thought this gargoyle looked cute. It was not difficult to make, and for the most part, the directions were very clear. Do appreciate the point about experimenting with the size of the appendages. Where I had difficulty was working with the head. I think a bit more description of size and where to place facial features in relation to the teardrop head would be helpful for a beginner.
    I’d include a photo, but I don’t see a place to download

I don’t know WHAT I did wrong, but mine doesn’t look anything like this. I thought I followed the instructions too. I did try to make him again and he looks much better the second time around. Where did you get your clock hand for this guy?

The gargoyle might take a few attempts to get him right. Keep trying, you’ll get there. I got my clock hand from the scrapbooking section of my craft store. This one was made by Tim Holtz.
