Do I Need to Subscribe to the Email:  YES, you do!  You will get an email on the first Friday of the month as your reminder to come on over and check the blog, get your project or review, or see what we’re working on.  So please, use the box at right and put your email address in it NOW to sign up.  Or, you can click here to do it too.  It will be very helpful for you to sign up for this email list so you can stay up to date with what everyone is doing.  Remember that at the bottom of every email is an unsubscribe link, so you can remove yourself from the email list at any time. Please know that your email address is being shared with Lisa Pavelka. You will automatically receive email from both KatersAcres & Lisa Pavelka.

What If I Can’t Commit Every Month:  That’s okay! We want you to have fun & learn to express yourself with polymer clay.

Pinterest:

What is it for: The pinterest board has been set up as a public place where you can pin your created pieces for the project.  For example if on week one we are sculpting King Tut (which we are not…this is just an example), when your project is done, you can pin your finished piece to the Pinterest Board.

Meet Limery the Polymer Clay Dragon by KatersAcresHow to I join the Pinterest Board:  In order to join the Pinterest board, you just need to send me an email (katie@katersacres.com) so that I can add you to the board.

Spam notice: Several people asked me about spam on this board.  Please be assured that if non-related Pavelka Project material shows up on the board that I will delete the pin & remove the user from the board.

What Constitutes Spam: Non-related materials.  Anything NOT having to do with The Pavelka Project or what you are working on for the project.

How Do I Protect My Pictures: Several of you wrote to me wondering how to protect your pictures and claim them for Pinterest.  Here’s my advice.  When you take your picture, use photo editing software to add a watermark of you or your brand to the photo.  (See my example at right).  Then UPLOAD the photo to your own Pinterest Boards FIRST.  Then REPIN your own pin to The Pavelka Project Board.

Do I Have to Use Pinterest: You do NOT have to use Pinterest at all for this project. This is simply an option for those of you who want to showcase your talent, hardwork, and creativity to the world.  When I feature finished projects on my blog the following week, they will be pictures taken from the Pinterest page, so please be sure your pictures are sharp & clear so I can feature you!

FaceBook:

Do I Have To: No one, absolutely no one, is required to use FaceBook for The Pavelka Project.  This is a simple closed group (meaning you have to be approved to join) where you can check at any time to see what anyone is working on.  Perhaps you’re stuck on a name for your creation, or your having trouble with some aspect of the tutorial … this is a place where we can come and chat, get to know each other, share success & failure, and stay connected!  It’s a place where I get to know you (and did I mention Lisa will be stopping by here herself to check up on us?!) and help you as best as I can. Please read the Facebook group rules here.

Twitter:

Build Your Brand on Etsy and Learn How to Tweet on Kater's Acres BlogHashTag: Yep, there’s a hashtag all set up for us.  Please use #PavelkaProject on any of your tweets relating to the project.  If you want, you can click on the link and save the search on your Twitter accounts so you don’t have to look it up every time you want to see what’s going on.
