Rhyce the Polymer Clay Dragon – Week 13
This week brought me Rhyce, a polymer clay dragon! My 2016 polymer clay challenge is to create (at least) one polymer clay fantasy creature (in this week’s case a polymer clay dragon) a week, one fantasy face a month, and one marionette. Each participant in the 2016 Polymer Clay Challenge is encouraged to make something they want and decide on their own theme for the year.
The biggest complaint I’ve heard from others recently is that they simply don’t have enough TIME to devote to their claying, not even for ONE project a week. I ask each of them the same question: do you want to get better claying? Every one of them answers “yes.” The truth is that in many respects, claying is just like learning an instrument … the more hours you devote to it, the better you get. Think about it this way next time you decide there isn’t enough “time” for a weekly polymer clay challenge piece. Try scheduling your creative time. Treat it no differently that work or a Dr.’s appointment. It’s NOT something you are going to miss. It’s something you WILL stick to because you scheduled that time.
This is Rhyce, dragon master of the Magical Forest. Rhyce (pronounced REE-C) is a dragon who instructs other hatchlings in the ways of dragon-hood. He’s smart, sophisticated, and has that ancient Egyptian look that keeps you staring at him, begging for him to tell you more! Adopt him today and you can give him a new forever home & name.
