It’s time to begin … another Christi Friesen book. This is the second to the last book that we will conquer together for the Friesen Project of 2013. So, without any further ado, let’s open up the book and get started!
Well, it’s once again time for that very sad moment … signing off an another book. There are only two books left in our Friesen Project for 2013. This is the last & final project in the Steampunkery book by Christi Friesen. There is also a free project on Christi’s website for more intricate ghoulies.
This project is completely my own. As we have gone on with the project, I have encouraged you to make your own things using Christi’s work as a stepping stone. This project will encourage you to do the same. Today’s assignment can be found on page 67-73 in Christi’s “Steampunkery” Book. Continue reading Steampunk Tutorial: How to Make a Cog or Sprocket
Another Friesen Friday is upon us (three cheers for the weekend)! Are you ready for the weekend? Today’s project is a great one. It’s fun, cute, and best of all, you can make this really any way you want. In many ways, this project is similar to our Dragon Project from Christi that we started on at the beginning of the year. So get excited and make yourself something fun this weekend.
A mini-tutorial for the Friesen Project of 2013, a “Under the Sea” project from Steampunkery … to see the exact version, see Christi’s “Steampunkery” Book on page 22.
This is a great introductory project for Christi’s awesome “Steampunkery” book. If you do not have this book yet, I am giving a copy away direct from Christi Friesen! There’s only 2 days left, be sure to enter to win it now. Now let’s get started with our polymer clay heart mini-tutorial! This tutorial is in Christi’s “Steampunkery” book and begins on page 7.
Every month you get to hear my “low down” on the Christi Friesen book that we are working through that month. This month is no exception! Today’s book review however is going to send you straight to the “check out” and pick this awesome book up!
A mighty woodland king, this polymer clay moose is inspired by Christi Friesen for the 2013 Friesen Project hosted by KatersAcres, in conjunction with Christi Friesen.
An adorable silver leafed polymer clay bunny inspired by Christi Friesen for the 2013 Friesen Project hosted by KatersAcres, in conjunction with Christi Friesen.
Who knows what day it is? That’s right … it’s Friesen Friday! Bring out the clay, tools, fun, music, & let’s have a virtual clay party! Today’s project is probably one of the easier ones we’ve done all year. You can whip up these cuties in under 20 minutes … even my more elaborate bunny took me just 30 minutes to make! But be sure that you have purchased Christi’s book so that you can see all the steps in full of how to make this cute little guy.
Well …. sometime technology is a real pain in my squirrel tail. I used a “real camera” instead of my iPhone to take your tutorial pictures this week hoping that since we’re now back to “full tutorials” that they would be awesome pics. Somehow my SD card became “corrupted” and I have lost everything on it, save for 4 pictures … of course of the END of the project! ARG! *Insert horrible frustrating sounds here* So … this being said today’s “tutorial” sadly will be more of a non-picture commentary on the project. I cried over this problem this morning, pulled myself together and then took a deep breath. So instead of a tutorial, today you get a “what-atorial” … my code name for “what just happened to my tutorial pictures?” Deep breath …. and moving on …
It’s here, a brand new book, new projects, and of course oodles of fun! Remember: Tutorials can not be completed without the book. Please order the book here.
How are You Doing?
I hope that each and every one of you are enjoying your journey through Christi’s books. By now you have had the opportunity to make approximately 25 projects! Wow, that’s a lot of projects. If you are behind or are missing projects, you can easily get the tutorial listing and link to purchase the books here.
