I got an email from one of my reader’s last week expressing their woes over Etsy’s billing system and frustration with getting their bill paid. Today we’re going to discuss how to avoid the Etsy bill payment stress, pay your bill on time, and how to pay over time to help your bottom line.
One of the biggest things that has helped me in my Etsy career was learning how to pay my Etsy bill over time. I know this sounds strange, so let me explain …
This is the easiest way to keep track of your Etsy bill and to not have it bother your bottom line. When you get paid on Etsy … simply take part of that money that you just made a sale with and pay your Etsy bill. This avoids the frustration at the end of the month that says, “but I already spent that money” or “I used that money for shipping.” As is true with running your home budget, pay your bills first then throw the money back into supplies, shop helps, etc. This will ensure that you always have money left over at the end of each month too!
If you use a digital planner or calendar, this could not be easier! Simply set a digital repeating reminder that will pop up on the 15th of every month. This will ensure that you remember and that your bill gets paid.
Brand new, last week, Etsy announced their automatic bill pay. So now paying your bill is even easier. Don’t be late and don’t forget to pay that bill with automatic withdraws from Etsy. Read more on this new service here.
