I know that I have mentioned this before, but I really do enjoy these WIP Wednesday posts. Not just because I get to show you what’s going on inside my polymer clay studio, but when I prepare these posts I see how productive I’ve really been. So, let’s take a tour, clock-wise from top left.

What does Christi Friesen have to do with WIP Wednesday? Well … I spent more time this weekend claying with her than I do in any normal week. So therefore, this weeks’ WIP Wednesday is all about the lovely weekend that I spent with about 40 other wonderful people and Christi Friesen!

This coming weekend I’m going to a two-day clayathon with Christi Friesen (insert lots of exclamation points, hoots, & hollers here)! I’ve been making a lot of things in preparation. Why? Because I’m richly blessed and I love to share with others … so … that being said, let’s get on with it, shall we?! This week’s collage is more of a “look what I’ve done” as opposed to “here’s what’s half done” or “here’s what’s partially done.” (Clockwise from top left)

As many of my readers know, I am not a full-time artist. I am an ordained American Baptist Minister. This means that some weeks (like last week) are very busy for me with church and church activities. Last week was Holy Week and I was crazy busy! However, I did manage to squeeze in about 6 hours of work in my studio last week. Working in my polymer clay studio always seems to just melt all the stress away, and last Friday was no different.

Does your “work” in your studio each week tend to carry a “theme” with it? I never used to think mine did, until I started my WIP Wednesday’s Series of posts this year. I realized something in taking all those photographs, there really is a pattern to my work.

Here we are, another week flown by … and I’m losing my mind … okay, perhaps not. BUT … I certainly am finding myself addicted to bugs (which I hate … but cute clay ones are my friends) and flowers lately. I must have been bitten by the spring bug, hahaha. Moving On…
